God Can Use Our Mistakes

None of us are immune to failure. And the enemy is a master at condemning our usefulness because of our failure. But the story of Jonah reveals an often forgotten truth: God can turn even our failure into opportunities for His glory.

When the sailors threw Jonah into the sea and it was calmed, something extraordinary happened! “The sailors were awestruck by the Lord’s great power, and they offered him a sacrifice and vowed to serve him.” (Jonah 1:16, NLT). The Hebrew word for “awestruck” reveals a faith born from witnessing God's power.

Jonah's flight from God unexpectedly led these sailors to a life-changing encounter. It is an excellent reminder of how God's plans prevail, even through our failures. In our lives, mistakes and missteps can become Divine intersections where God can and will show Himself mighty.

Even our imperfections can be woven into the greater tapestry of His redemptive work.
