Hide-And-Go-Seek

I may be wrong, but I sense many of us feel God is playing some game of cosmic Hide-And-Go-Seek, and we are in spiritual pursuit to see if we can find where He is hiding. The problem arises when we are always looking for burning bushes, wrestling angels, or parting waters.

I believe the opposite is true. I believe God’s presence is ever near, waiting to be noticed. Life is full of ordinary moments that, upon closer inspection, reveal God’s extraordinary touch.

Think about your daily routine—the morning coffee, the conversations with loved ones, or a beautiful sunset. These are not mundane tasks but opportunities to see God at work. Instead of waiting for a dramatic sign, try looking for His presence in the small things. God isn’t hiding; He’s right here, in the everyday moments, whispering His love and grace.

In Acts 17:27, Paul stood before the Athenians and encouraged them, and us, “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him—though He is not far from any one of us.”

If you are feeling lonely today, remember, “He is not far from any one of us.”
