When the Betty Crocker cake mixes were first introduced in the 1950s, General Mills wanted to make life simpler and easier for homemakers. However, their product was a flop. They discovered homemakers felt guilty because they were not putting enough personal effort into making the cakes. Their solution? They removed eggs from the ingredients and put the words “Add An Egg” on the front of the box. Sales skyrocketed. (techflow.com)
God can do anything and everything. And the reality is, He doesn’t need our help. But amazingly, He invites us to be co-laborers in His work. Our contributions, though small compared to His, allow us to take part in something of eternal significance.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:2 (NLT), Paul describes Timothy as “God’s co-worker in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.” In everything you do today, even those things that are difficult or mundane, remember you are working along with God. That’s quite a partnership.
